Whistle can integrate with your OPERA account via a recurring emailed report to facilitate automated messages to your guests.
Setup

Go to the Company -> Integrations section inside Whistle

Click the Import Reservations by Email banner
- Click Generate Email

Create your reservation report using OPERA configuration module
- In Opera's configuration module; select Setup in the toolbar
- Hover over Report Setup
- Click Reports
- Click New
- Fill out the following report information;
- Report Name: Whistle Integration
- Check ✓ 'Simple Report' Box
- Select the report group as Reservations
- Click Customize
- In the General tab;
- Check ✓ Reservations
- Check ✓ Profiles
- Click Save
- In the Columns tab; use 'Like' search to find the following available columns to add to your report by selecting > at the top of the window
*make sure available columns are marked as 'RESERVATIONS' in the bottom left of the window.- Reservation Name ID
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Arrival Date
- Departure Date
- Room No.
- Reservations Status
- Rate Code
- Member Type
- VIP Code
- Salutation
- Country
- Room Type
- Rate Amount
- In the Filters tab; before you add the following available columns to your report double click the column name (Arrival Date and Update Date) and select 'Between' and check ✓ BOTH 'Parameter' boxes and click save
- Arrival Date
- Update Date
- Before you click Ok while selected on 'Update Date' click the OR button
- Search 'Room Type = PM' and while selected on 'Room Type' click the NOT button
- Click Ok
- Click Ok
- Close out of report setup
- Setup report scheduler in OPERA PMS module
- In Opera's PMS module; select Miscellaneous
- Click Report Scheduler
- Click New
- Search for Whistle Integration report
- Change the file format to Delimited Data
- Select the delimiter as a comma (,)
- Set start date for today's date
- Set start time for 10 minutes from current time
- Set repeat for Minutes and add the value 10 after Every
- Click Ok
- Report parameters will appear
- Select File
- Close out of reports
- Schedule window will appear
- Select Whistle Integration
- While on Distribution List, click second 'New' button on the right
- Select the value as Email
- Add Whistle platform email generated in STEP 3
- Click Ok
- While still in schedule window, select Parameters
- Highlight From Arrival Date
- Click Set Date on the right
- Select +/-
- Select 1 (one)
- Click Ok
- While still in schedule window, select Parameters
- Highlight To Arrival Date
- Click Set Date on the right
- Select +/- (click it twice so it shows +)
- Select 5 (five)
- Click Ok
- While still in schedule window, select Parameters
- Highlight From Update Date
- Click Set Date on the right
- Select +/-
- Select 1 (one)
- Click Ok
- While still in schedule window, select Parameters
- Highlight To Update Date
- Click Set Date on the right
- Select +/- (click it twice so it shows +)
- Select 5 (five)
- Click Ok
- Click Run Now
- Email support@trywhistle.com to make sure report has been received with correct reservation data from OPERA
- Whistle support will complete the integration connection
- Once enabled, a timestamp will be displayed next to Import Reservation by Email banner of when we last received data from Opera
- Contact support@trywhistle.com with any issues
